Zzzzzz, bai ning bing sure is a bummer as usual. Truly a boring and dull character. Not to mention immature. He just strikes me as pathetic, feels like he's just a child with undeserved powers that wants to rebel against everyone. Essentially an immature teenager in his rebellious phase. That such a truly lacking character is kinda one of the more central characters in this novel is unbelievable. Hei lou lan is ridiculously superior in every way, not that I like her that much either but at least she has brains and is cunning, she has some nice personality traits and feels alive instead of kinda dead inside like bai ning bing. While bai ning bing throws tantrums like a baby, hei lou lan schemes and makes the best of the situation.
