Gu Zhen Ren
The author keeps on stressing on no regrets sheesh. Yeah I get it, please don’t waste word count on that, don’t frickin explain the same thing again and again since chapter 1. He was average in his previous life, neither being happy nor accomplished. This life, he doesn’t know how to use his resources. He’s still learning I guess. I would never get the age novels like this give to the characs. 500-40000 years old. Hah, it would have been much more interesting with normal ages. The author can’t construct the mentality of different age groups properly.
Well, if you did not know this till now, then let me inform you - RI is just a feel good version of story in which the mc has pathetic luck. Be it in terms of love ( FY won’t get a girl), obstacles ( his plans never go his way) and striking misfortune (even though he fought against luck till this time, he lost fixed immortal travel gu for just a rank 6 luck pathh gu).
I think I see a pattern. In every volume, FY’s fights are all uphill due to some disadvantage. In the first volume, it was his aptitude. In the second volume, he lacked a foundation. Something firm backing him up that would allow him to compete with the weather and privileged gu masters from the super clans. In this volume, it’s luck. After the first volume, he got the blood skull gu and immediately gained a top notch aptitude. In the second volume, he established himself in the Shang clan, and then gained the Hu Immortal land. I’m guessing that he’ll find some Gu to completely reverse his luck soon (maybe it was that immortal luck path gu he picked up). Also, if he can strengthen his luck, he would be much more capable of using the Spring Autumn Cicada to its fullest potential rather than as a final Trump card when he has no other choice.
