This chapter is quite powerful. It makes me think of the dream where Roland remembers when, after he reincarnated after the fall of the Mist Kingdom, goes back there. The ice there is cold, sharp, intemporal. He is confronted with the loss of everything that was dear to him. The second thing where I can see a parallel with, are the snow planes in Hell that torment souls. Roland had to purge his sins there too after the Hell battle arc to be able to return to the main plane.
anyone have a tought or theory about this thing..... is it reality marble ? is it a new world? sentient? can think ? what its signify ?..... Many thing inside this novel are complex but atleast I got some clue to interpret it.... but this.... the heck its mystery long ago..... why all come back too this cold place.....
