The Church really messed up this time by spurring on his growth. It is their ignorance that he uses the same method as the Fourth Pope that has screwed them. They probably would be able to gather the clues if they were less arrogant and disbelieving of the possibility of a "fallen one" being the equal of the Fourth. Really curious how the Fourth managed without a System. I can only assume that he used a lot of time for trial and error, or his talent and luck led the way.
