How is it honorable to cover the shortcoming of family... isnt that what every xianxia evil boss does... is it a chinese ideology to pretend no crime happened.. or in this case mistake....punishing your children so they grow up with morals is what a parent are supposed to do... you can see the results in today culture. Take hurricane harvey for instance. People volunteer and travel to help strangers who lost everything. Thats american/westen culture. However in most asian cultures. After a disaster only government and relief workers...and close tribal member will help people however close tribal members only help people in the tribe. Or friends that have benefits.. tribe is family or extended family but thats pretty much it. Also most relief organization are western culture and have few eastern people working in them will use china as the example only because i like beating up on them. For such a dence population base they sure have few members joining relief organizations you will always see the majority be westerns or western belief raised personal i Germany group came to mind and some russians there not actually western but they have families that raise there children to admit mistakes and take responsibility for there actions. . This was extremely visible with relief workers in africa and iraqi from personal experince .just gave a micro and macro scale of the difference between these two cultures. And the results that can be determined from the way a family is reared.

If I was the father I would have simply said “I apologize, my son was kidnapped and tortured, he reacted by instinct due to fear and not out of maliciousness.” In no way would I allow my son to be humiliated by getting shet thrown on him because of this.
