So I guess magic shields and evolved demon lords still lose out to good old-fashioned explosions. Good to know.

Hey btw, that guy who spoiled Ashes death. Thanks, this chapter could’ve had a deep impact, but nope you had to spoil it and make the death feel hollow, fake. Took away one of the few moments when I actually feel human. Jerk.

Lightning launched a Salvo of LPGs (Lightning Propelled Grenades) that ultimately helped defeat the demon. I had to reread the attack run to figure out that she used RPG round instead of a frag grenade. A normal grenade will not have the cone shaped penetrating blast of a RPG. This trial by fire confirms that the First Army troops will have the punching power to kill even the highest of the Senior Demons even without the help of Transcendents which is great because Ashes turned into ashes. T_T I guess this is what they mean when they say the brighter the flame, the shorter the life cause she must be the shortest lived Transcendent which was coincidentally the strongest. Poor Tilly... I feel sorry for the demons, I have a feeling that Tilly will be the pilot that personally drops the nuke to end them. I wonder how Roland will react to seeing how devistated his little sister will be when she finds out about Ashes.

Ursrook had his body blown in half before upgrading and survives, yet he receives some grenade explosions by Lightning and "loses" his upgraded form and is slain by Ashes. Can we call this PLOT ARMOR?

Even thou we lost a lot of people we still won the battle of taquila in the most minimum casualty. As a reward the taquila witches will celebrate in the dream world. *as roland opens the door of his apartment to step outside he saw someone waiting infront of his door* Ashes:"hey there, your majesty" Roland:"hello Ashes.....whaaaaaaatttttt? *Cue roundabout music*
