Apparently a religion hating author? in many cases in history religion was a necessary thing in kingdoms, that's also why it still exists today. Hope this (so far) idiotic MC doesn't start vocalizing his blasphemy any more than he already has, at least until he can back it up.

Religion was a crucial step in the development of mankind. Back in ways past, people come together when they shared similar views, allowing cooperation under a single goal. Religion is generally quite broad, a mixture of beliefs and truths that coalesced over the years. This formed the many lessons and ways of life a religion would have, for example don’t go into that spooky forest as people who went there never came back. While indeed certain religious institutions do eventually become corrupt or force their beliefs and way of life unto others, there are some that don’t and we have to remember that. Religion like people are gray, some lighter some darker. Please do not be extreme and say “Churches are the source of evil” or “Atheism is the abandonment of good.”
