Chapter 6

Ren did not find Gai inside the nearby areas so he decided to look inside the Market area and ask someone for his whereabouts. It may be difficult to know the whereabouts of other jonins but Gai with his loud and straightforward personality was another case. Nobody would forget him once they see him anyway and Ren was sure of this fact because Gai was one of his most favourite characters in the anime !

He did not find Gai but found his two little brothers standing outside a cake shop and hesitating to go inside . Ren found their behaviour very cute but decided not to tease them .

" Ahem.. Why don't you go inside ? Did you spend your allowance somewhere else ? " Ren startled both of them and he directly appreciated behind them and spoke slowly near their ears .

" Moo.. Big brother you meanie... " Simon actually had tears in his eyes and a hateful look which made Ren feel bad so he immediately apologised to his two younger brothers .

In the end Ren had to apologize for ten minutes and buy them six short cakes from his own pocket before they finally forgave him. Ren could only blame himself because he had no prior experience of being a big brother so he was too lenient on them .

Ren dropped them home and immediately started searching for Gai again . He came to a dango shop and saw a familiar looking beauty with black hair sitting there gracefully. Ren's mouth gaped at the sight because Kurenai was too beautiful in reality. No wonder Asuma fell over heels for her when he was just a kid. Ren decided to ask her about Gai because from his knowledge, they were classmates before and still must have a good relationship.

" So tell me little kid , why are you staring at me for past three minutes now Hmmm? " Well the sweet voice struck Ren's heart though because it felt worse to be called a kid by such a beauty . Ren did not change his expression though because he had good control over his emotions .

" Umm.. Big sister Kurenai , hello ! "

" Hello is alright but how do you know my name ? "

" Hehe.. you are really famous because everybody takes about a beautiful lady ninja in the academy . I heard in the morning when teachers were talking ... "

" Oh.. " Ren saw the light blush appearing on her face and felt that it was too easy to have conversation with girls contrary to his previous thoughts . He did not know that he was successful on his first try because he was only a kid and the words he used were a technique from a male Host who was famous scammer who scammed too many ladies .

" Ahem.. so do you want ask something .. eh.. what's your name again ? "

" Oh.. how careless of me ! " Ren immediately buttoned his old white shirt and gave her an elegant bow . " My name is Ren Black ! Can I ask one question from you beautiful lady..? "

Kurenai looked at the amusing kid and could not help but laugh aloud at his actions . She felt that Ren must have learnt these courting girls techniques from someone and she decided to search for him and teach him a harsh lesson in secret because she wanted to prevent him from teaching other kids in future. Well she was destined to be disappointed though because she would have to travel to earth for doing so and it was basically impossible. Anyway, Ren was confused by her sudden laughter but did not mind because it was not a bad thing anyway as he successfully managed to instill an impression inside her in their first meeting. Ren did not plan to court her , he just wanted to make friends with her because she was a future genjutsu master and Ren had always felt that she was an underrated character in the anime .

Kurenai was a ninja after all so she composed herself quickly and stopped laughing after a minute . She looked at the innocent eyes of Ren and lamented because he did not seem to be conscious of his actions that could be mistaken as flirting techniques and they were pretty high level at that . She could tell that Ren had no such intentions so she decided to correct him on later date .

" Ren , I have to leave for a mission now so quickly ask whatever you want ! "

" Oh.. Sorry for taking your precious time . I just wanted to ask about the current whereabouts of jonin called Might Gai who seems to be your acquaintance. "

" Oh ? Well he is a friend . I can tell you that but first tell me the reason for meeting him because he must be busy training right now and I dont want to interrupt him for small matters ... "

" Ahem.. I want to become his student and learn proper body training methods and taijutsu from him because I've heard that he his the beast taijutsu expert in the village and you specialize in genjutsu instead.. "

" Kid.. you seem to know too much ! "

" Hehe.. I'm training to become the best ninja after all so information gathering is basic stuff. "

" Okay Okay .. You can find him in the forest behind the Hokage Face mountain. Now go because I am late already... "

" Oh.. Sorry to have taken your time and thanks .. " Ren bowed and left after flashing a smile towards Kurenai ..

Looking at the dashing away little figure , Kurenai got lost into thoughts .

' This kid is very straightforward and I like him. I can feel that he did not lie to me but I cannot help but feel that he is hiding some secrets . Oh well .. I'm sure that we will meet again in future as that kid will become strong and notable figure in near future .. Such strong willpower and temperament at such small age ! What's his background anyway?'

She reached the main gate to village and left for a mission while Ren seemed to have left a deep impression on her mind !
