Chapter 6

A startup sky, Helen waited for her greeting that she expected to answer back to.

"Hello."

She smiled seeing Celene walk up to her, dandelions floating away from behind her.

"Hey." She waved at her.

"You were saying?" Celene wanted to continue on where they last left of on.

"Eh? Uhh.. oh, right!" Helen remembered after a moment of thinking.

Celene chuckled in amusement.

"I picked up the sword when I was six because I needed to protect myself." Helen said.

"Protect yourself? You could've just asked to get some guards to take with you anywhere." Celene said.

Helen chuckled, "I guess I was a little paranoid at that time after getting into a childish accident but then again, I was the one at fault and I also wanted to learn swordsmanship so if I'm ever alone I can still find a way to fend for myself."

Celene awed, she found her to be incredible. It's amazing! To think so far into the future like that is an incredible feat! She must've been born a genius to think of her safety at such a young age to pick up a sword by then.

"And do you feel safer now?" She wondered, saying, "I mean, nobody would dare harm you now."

"Not.. really." Helen meekly smiled.

"I can never tell who my allies and enemies are." She said, "Let alone know how to survive on my own if I do end up in some bad and an inescapable situations."

Celene perked up, she could see how uneasy Helen looked. Just who on earth could've traumatized somebody to feel this paranoid into thinking she could be killed at any time. The hand she had been holding with both became limp. She huffed a smile and stood up.

"C'mon!" She spoke.

"Eh?" Helen looked up, "What is it?"

Standing up, bits of dandelions flew to the sides from the sudden movement they did.

"Let's dance, my fine gentleman." Celene joked, adding with concern, "You looked as though you were going to cry yourself the entire dream."

Helen's eyes widened, the stinging sensation behind her eyes disappeared as her look of anxiety was replaced with humor.

Laughing in bemusement, she followed along, "I'm sorry, my Lady, I must've looked terribly depressing."

Celene chuckled, she got her mood up again as she followed along her leading steps. Helen was fluent with the men's part in any dance, you could say she had great teachers for friends for it.

"Goodness, it really makes me wonder if you're actually a dance teacher in real life with how well you dance like this." Celene awed as she found herself twirling around in Helen's hand.

Helen laughed, as she stood behind her and continued on with their dance.

"My friends taught me well, you should thank them yourself one day." She joked, making Celene laugh as glowing dandelions flew to the sky in harmony of their dance.

It was romantic, their steps I mean, it'd be close to an adorable date from afar to watch. Oh, how delightful that is, right? Spinning to the left before making a step back to spin the Celene's right. Helen found herself laughing with her in amusement. It was fun, dancing with somebody in the open night sky like this as she twirled her around in one hand before pulling back without letting go of her hand and then stepping forward with her.

Celene spun towards her after another step back together, "Are you really not a dance teacher?"

Helen laughed when she said that while leading the dance right back around again.

"I'm not a dance teacher, Celene, but I think it'd be nice to be an assistant for a dance teacher if I do get kicked out of my family." She said, holding Celene close by the waist.

Celene hummed, a moment of decision, she put her hands to Helen's shoulders.

"I think you need to be more productive with your dance." She joked.

Helen was a little puzzled when Celene suddenly let go of her hand, smiling from bemusement, she now had both hands on her slim figure.

"Is it a guess that I should do the unthinkable?" She joked back.

"Oh, goodness me," Celene laughed while still following her steps precisely, "I only said be more productive didn't I?"

"And I'm asking you if I should do the unthinkable." Helen didn't understand her. That only made both of them laugh from confusing each other.

"I don't think I want a surprise that I'll expect and know." Celene rolled her eyes as Helen put their little dance to a stop.

"Aww.." Helen whined, she wanted to do something that could be surprising even if she had to think of making one up in the moment.

The dandelions stopped flying off of everywhere around them when they stood still together. Celene reached her arms out, they were now practically resting on Helen's shoulders completely as she clasped her hands from behind her head. Helen paid no mind to it when she found herself looking at those beautiful violet eyes.

"Hm..?" Celene stared back at her, chuckling, "Did you find something you like?"

Helen hummed, "Your eyes are like amethyst..."

"Oh?" That surprised Celene a little, she didn't expect her to say that at all.

"Sorry, didn't mean to sound weird.." Helen sighed.

Celene chuckled with a tilting head, in wonder of why she said that.

"It's alright." She said, adding, "Your eyes remind me of the beach too."

Helen perked up, seemingly glad she wasn't found off putting when she said her thoughts aloud, "O--Oh.."

Celene smiled.

"Shall we dance some more or sit down and talk about something?" She asked.

Helen sat down with her, bits of dandelions flying off to the sides and into the night sky. She looked up, the stars hadn't changed at all.

"The night sky is full of stars as always." Celene pondered aloud to herself as she leaned on to Helen's shoulders.

Helen looked to her side and to her, she looked so peaceful just being there with her as Anne woke her up for the day.
