As refreshing as it is to see a main character fail from time to time, it leaves a very foul taste when the cause is plain stupidity. There are plenty of other ways to make a story interesting without making the MC so stupid.
Where did the ruthless and badass Shi yan go?? He sees xia xinyan and few other Shi family members and his knees go weak?? Two times in a row. Ugh just kill him already by taking benefit of the situation.

I knew it as soon as he declared that one hundred year deadline before entering a danger zone. He’s going to be locked in Yun Che style, power level up before coming out and killing the old guy. But I wish he could’ve been more like Yun Che who was trapped heroically saving the girl, not because he was a total dumbass who drops all guards because of temptation. SY is far too arrogant thus careless. I’m glad this happened and I hope he super suffers for it. He’s the most disappointing and cringeworthy MC I’ve read about for a long time. Sigh.
