investigated beforehand... hahaha that’s pulling a big one. as if he knew before the exam who are the testers and had the resources to find out 12 forging methods that someone stole.... in a day! even with money, one couldn’t compile such information in time. not to mention, the testing method was done in the other party’s choice, and it’s completely clear he did not have a hand in multipulating that apothecary in betting with him using a new forging method. the author really think he can explain away such a glaring loophole with investigation? my goodness

Yeah...that makes no sense. So he somehow knew everybody that was going to be in his test, then had the time to research all of their techniques including how they learned them and their relationships with the other alchemists, found out their secrets that nobody else knew including things that happened that morning only hours before the test? Meaning he would have to have investigators shadowing them all 24/7. And he accomplished it all in one night. Yeah... its more likely that he is an all knowing Demon than all of those added together.
