"If you get angry when I buy you a drink, then you are not human," says my brother.

"Well I'm not gonna risk getting drunk while having you as company," Zara fires back.

Ned wriggles his eyebrows and says" So you're saying if you get drunk, then you won't be able to ignore my charm, and you'll come to my side of the condo for a one night stay?"

Zara gets up an slaps Ned across his face and his eyes go wide in shock.

She takes two steps forward and jabs her index finger in-between his brows, "Listen here Ned," she jabs her finger harder into his face almost making him fall off the stool, "I don't want to be in a condo with you and I know damn well I don't wanna be in a bed with you." Then she storms of leaving Ned by himself.

I stifle a laugh and walk over to join my brother. I take a seat in the now empty stool beside Ned. "I know it's wrong to be in other people's business," I say picking up the drink he bought for Zara and taking a sip, "but she really doesn't like you." I look over at my brother with glazed eyes. My eyes land on a red spot in the middle of his left cheek. I lightly touch his cheek and he winces, "Damn, she really did you in huh?"

"I don't know what went wrong, one minute she was smiling at me the next...," he trails off moving his hand up to his cheek.

"Naw bro, you read that all wrong," I say motioning to him with my drink, "one minute she was smiling at the boy that was standing behind you, the next she was storming off to dance with the same guy," I turn around on my stool and nod my head towards Zara who is grinding against a light skinned boy on the dance floor. I hop off the stool and turn towards my brother, " I'm going to go get a drink," I hold up my cup, " You want one?" He gives a slight shake of his head, " Well sit tight, I'll be right back." And with that I advance towards the bar.
