131 "NO US, NO THEM!"

The words "I never loved your daughter Mr. Cunningham. Not even before, not ever...." reverberated on Sofie's ears. It was like an echo that keeps on repeating before fading. Quietly, she climb back up the stairs going to her room. 

Sitting at the edge of the bed, she was thinking. Of all the things she had done to keep Edmond by her side, it has finally come to an end with a divorce. 

Edmond had finally uncovered how she planned to manipulate his life. With the discovery of the magic substance that she used on him, he will never be able to find forgiveness and will hate her for the rest of his life.

Numbness was all she felt at the moment. Not fear, not apprehension, not anxiety, not bitterness. Somehow, at the back of her mind, she knew that this moment will come.
