After the death of Edwin Bald, one of the greatest villains in Eldora (a world of magic and fantasy creatures) the faceless god gave him an unexpected chance. Even though Edwin was a lich who had broken many laws of nature and committed countless sins, the god offered to make him human again, but not in Eldora. This time, he would be reborn on modern Earth. Additionally, Edwin could choose any blessings (trait/ talent) from the list to help him in his new life. Unexpected to him, Edwin Bald woke up in the body of Asuka Volford, a fatty, trash, molester, who was even cuckolded by his girlfriend, making him commit suicide. Also born to a noble family. The story follows Edwin, and how he step by step become strong, creating his own legend, and ultimately becoming the leader of Earth's biggest criminal syndicate which aims to conquer the entire world, from mere third-rate villain despised by the whole world

Finally Human Again!!!

The Lich studied the list of A Tier blessings intently, weighing each option carefully as the faceless god watched his focused expression.

"So which one are you going to choose?" the god asked somewhat impatient.

Without looking up Lich answered, "These blessings are really tempting. Can't you just give me 200 more points?"

"Hehe...Nope!" The faceless god chuckled, though playful his voice still remained firm.

"I know you can give me more if you want to,"

"Do you think this is a joke? What do I gain by not giving you more?"

"Probably you're a sadist. I don't know,"

Upon Lich's remark, the faceless god let out a deep sigh, walking a bit away as he explained, "Listen, what I'm already doing for you is critical work—transferring your soul from one realm to another like this. The other gods would eat me alive if they found out. You know the life force limits are fixed for each realm."

"For me?? You sound as if there is nothing in it for you. Anyway, then what about taking drawbacks? Why is that any different?"

"They're certainly different. You give up something to get an equal blessing. Without drawbacks, you'd be too OP and the other gods might notice your unusual presence."

The Lich let out a frustrated sigh. "Tsk! So there's no helping it then?"

"Instead of whining about it, be a man and take a drawback. You know to get something big, you have to sacrifice something big."

The Lich looked even more annoyed now. "First off, I don't want to achieve anything big, I just want to live a normal peaceful life. And do you get some kind of commission on pushing these drawbacks? Why are you pestering me so much about it?"

"Huh??"

The lich turned back towards the stone wall, pondering for a while before clicking on one of the A-tier blessings.

*Ding*

The points total displayed in the upper right corner updated to 50.

Noticing this, the lich began searching through the other blessings intently, as if he already had a specific combination in mind.

After a few minutes, a satisfied grin formed on the lich's bony jaw. For the first time since arriving in this heaven-like place, he truly looked satisfied.

He quickly pressed another blessing...The faceless god continued to observe in silence, giving the lich time.

The points updated again: 0

After using up all his points, the lich turned to the faceless god. "I'm done."

"Are you sure about all your choices? They can't be reversed."

"Yeah!"

"Great, then I'll send you to Earth now."

"Before that, tell me, will I get reincarnated into a new body or...?"

"Of course not, how could you get a new body with those drawbacks?"

The lich frowned. "Tsk! So I have to use a used body."

The faceless god let out a small chuckle. "Oh, and you forgot that body will also be ugly fat."

"Just send me now!" the lich said, irritated.

"Oh wait, I forgot to mention - Earth is very different from Eldora, so there are things you should know beforehand or you will make retarded image of yourself, adding to your infamy," the faceless god said in a self amused tone.

Ignoring that, the lich frowned sceptically. "What are those things?"

"Do you know about science, technology, mobiles, gadgets or stuff like that?"

"Huh??"

"Those things are quite common there. There's much more than that, but I don't have time for a full briefing."

The faceless god extended his hand, forming a white sphere. "Here's all the info you should have about how Earth works, and also memories of your new body's past."

The sphere flowed toward the lich, spinning rapidly around before being absorbed into his consciousness.

His bony head suddenly trembled, like a shock hit him, "Fuck!" He screamed out.

The sudden information overload overwhelmed him, making him feel dizzy.

"Well, don't forget your soul pact, or there will be worse consequences, hehe. We'll meet again when the time comes."

The faceless god gently touched the lich's skeletal ribs, and in an instant, reality seemed to stretch and warp around them.

The lich felt himself being pulled away, teleporting in a matter of seconds.

Now alone on the bright cloud, a wide grin tugged at the faceless god's lips. "What a fool, to think a god would really give him another chance. Gods won't even speak to a damn lich, don't you know that??. Well anyway, I expect great things from you."

......…

In a closed, luxurious room, a fat young boy with black hair lay unconscious on the floor. He looked dead, with many pills scattered around him.

Suddenly, his body shook as if filled with new life.

"Ah! Where am I? So it worked?" the formerly lifeless boy spoke, his voice trembling as he looked around.

"Aah, this feeling of being alive, I missed it so much...Ah, How long has it been since I last felt a breath? Well, let it be."

He frowned, as he looked around. "So this is my new body, fat and reeking. Tsk! And what's with all these pills? Was he trying to commit suicide?"

The boy shook his head. "What a loser."

"But first, let me get a hold of the situation."

He folded his legs and sat in a meditation pose, going through the body's past memories.

His name was Asuka Volford, half Japanese, half German. The son of the third lord of the once prestigious Volford family, now destroyed.

All he could remember was his father betraying them at a critical moment and joining some criminal organisation.

And his mother had died of sickness not long after his birth. After his father abandoned him, he was taken in by his maternal grandfather, the patriarch of one of the 12 Great Warden families.

*Knock knock!*

"Alright, an unusual situation, but I'll manage!" Asuka said, looking towards the knocking door.

Hello again, It's your favorite author here. How did you like the latest chapter?

I'm planning to stick to updating one chapter a day, but today I'll be posting two chapters because I want to get vetted as quickly as possible.

Here's another question for you: Based on what the faceless god said, it's clear that he isn't as simple as he initially seemed. What do you think his true identity is?

Don't forget to comment and use those power stones. Even though they might seem worthless, they still give me a lot of motivation.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you continue to enjoy the story!
