James is not a good helper.

"What have you been so busy working on?"

James asked casually.

"You know all the kingdom's affairs, dealings, and invitations."

Vincent shrugged with weariness.

"I could help."

"Thank you."

Vince knew James didn't handle his kingdom's affairs but how bad could he be? He is a prince afterall he must have learned the basics atleast. Wrong! So very wrong... Vincent had brought him back to his office and after that everything seemed to go wrong. The kingdom's seal was put in the wrong place or not at all, invitations were not answered before being sealed in an envelope, paperwork was signed with the wrong name, peace treatys were on the floor and on the bookshelves. Vincent could handle most of those things but it became to much when James split ink onto his shirt and pants.

"Ronald!"

Vincent cried in a exasperated voice.

"Take him and get him cleaned up."

Vincent said with a hand holding his head and pointing at James.

"Yes, your highness."

After dealing with James on a routinely basis Ronald was able to use a less 'polite' way of getting things done.

"Let's go prince James."

Ronald dragged James out of the room with James crying

"Nooooo! Help me Vince!"

James held his arms outstretched reaching for something to grab onto and failed to reach anything before disappearing behind the door.

"Sigh...This is why I don't let him help how could I forget..."

Vincent could hear James's cries fading out into the distance with the occasional echo near an open room. Vincent has had James attempt to help him before but that was years ago. Vincent started working on paperwork and the kingdom's affairs at eleven, just the basics. Before he was capable to do everything himself.

"Oh what's this?"

A envelope with a crimson seal on it caught Vince's attention. He brushed off all the other papers and looked at the seal. The seal had a Pelican on it, the sign of the Silverstone kingdom (Lotus kingdom ally) they were one of the more influential members. Vince peeled open the envelope and took out the letter inside. It read:

Dear King Argos of the Lotus Kingdom,

Benjamin is having his eleventh birthday and we would be delighted if you could visit the ball we are throwing in celebration. Since Benjamin is still young, we would be ecstatic if one of your sons could attend to help him in making friends.

With hopes,

Silverstone kingdom.

"Hah...Looks like I'll be attending a ball again."

Vincent couldn't help but feel tired when he thought about interacting with all those snobby officials that will be going. Vincent had heard a bit about Benjamin but not enough to put a label on him.
