23 CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE:She Didn't Choose Him

(One year ago)

"Stop it,stop it Z..zaid"Ariana laughed trying to free  herself out of Zaiden's grip,he was touching her sides knowing very well how responsive her body was.

"What,say it Bambi,I need to hear it"Zaiden demanded laughing at his Bambi who nodded her head in denial,she was proving stubborn to his demands.

"No,i won't,"Ariana said stubbornly,looking into Zaiden's eyes.

"Then here i come!"Ziaden announced, coming back to attack her sides but this time she slipped  away from his grasp running to the far end of the room.

"Catch me if you can"Ariana dared laughing at his poor state as he tried catching her but he never succeeded.

"Gosh!"Zaiden exclaimed, holding his left toe in pain.

"Babe"Ariana rushed to him bending down to look at his injured leg and just then he caught her."you cheater!"She said pinching his cheeks as Ziaden tried avoiding her hands but stumbled and fell on top of the nearby couch but not without seeing his barbie right on top of him.

"Mine!"Zaiden declared, pecking her lips leaving her stunned at his cheesy attitude,his hand going to circle her waist drawing her near to him so that he could feel her chest pressed on top of him.

"Z..Zaid"Ariana tried to stand up feeling flustered from their position,her cheeks went rosy the minute she felt something poking her on top of her stomach,her eyes widened when she realized what it it  as she closed her eyes making Ziaden smiled at her innocence.

"My mom would love to see you, Bambi,what do you say?"

"Don't you think it's too early Zaid,I don't think i am  ready now babe"

"It's okay sweetheart,I'm not forcing you to see her,I just can't wait to introduce you to them,they would be so happy"Zaiden said, removing a strand of her hair covering her face,his face lightening up at the fact that she was his.

"Guess what babe?"Ariana told him, changing the topic.

"What,I'm not really good at guessing"

"I will be leaving for Newyork in two days time,"Ariana told him cheerfully,but she asked when she saw the frown on his face"what is it?"

"Two days Bambi,and you are just telling me now"Zaiden whined.

"Come on babe,it's just for a contest,i will be back when it's over,I promise"

"Okay,I just can't bear the fact that men would be falling for  you once you are there,your beautiful baby,"Zaiden said, staring at her,no matter how many times he looks at her, he could never get tired of looking at her pretty face.

"No matter what happens  you know i will always choose you babe"Ariana told him looking into his eyes.

I will always choose you.

Those words resonated in his ears as if they were just said a few seconds ago,staring blankly at nowhere,he was lost in his thoughts,he did not notice the look on people's faces who passed him by.

Some wondered why someone dressed up like him was seated in central park,deep in thought that he could not notice the attention he was getting from people.

Zaiden laughed at himself,wondering where he went wrong with Anna that she had to cheat on him.

The most annoying part was the fact that she had been  giving him false hope that she was still in love with him,giving him false hope that he still had someone who still loves him.

Why did Anna do it?

Is she not  ready for our engagement?

These questions lingered on his lips,desperately needing answers to it,but he knew that if he had stopped for once when she called him earlier he would have broken down in front of her,which he didn't want to.

He can never cry because of a woman,but this is Ariana we were talking about.

Zaiden clutched his arching heart,Anna has always been the woman who had his heart,body, mind and soul that he would do anything for her,but in the end she failed the promise.

She didn't choose him!

He stood up and went for his car,driving recklessly that he crossed the speed limits not caring about the fucking law,stopping at a bar,he needed the alcohol to keep  his mind away from her.

Zaiden went on  drinking,trying to  get himself drunk,he was already on to his fifth glass when he saw his guard by his side.

"I think you've had enough sir"Edward held his hand trying to get the glass from the young master,he has being tailing him since he was seated down in the park,he could not tell the reason for the sudden visit to Newyork but after seeing his broken state and him trying to get himself wasted here at the club,he didn't knew a confirmation to figure out that he was having girl issues.

"Do you have a death wish,let go!"Zaiden yelled at Edward,who took the glass from his grip not caring about the threat he just received.

"I'm sorry but i can't stand seeing you get wasted to this point"Edward told him,dropping some cash for the bartender ,he looked back to find Zaiden already leaving but not without stumbling.

"She left me,she fucking left me!"Zaiden yelled throwing invisible punches to the air as onlookers were avoiding him.

"Get a grip of yourself"Edward said, helping him to the car,stopping at their hotel he helped him to his room.

"Leave"Zaiden said but it came as a whisper to the young man who didn't heard him."you need to stop following me,tell grandpa that i  don't need his fucking protection!"Zaiden told him grabbing his collar tightly that he struggled to free his hand.

The young man had his eyes gawked at his sudden outburst,he knew their young master was a mess whenever he was angry but tonight,he was totally not himself.

Ziaden threw him out of his room, locking the door to stop him from entering again,he went to the bathroom looking at himself in the mirror.

"In the end,she left you Zaiden,they are always the same"He muttered as the water came falling down on him wetting his cloth while his tears mixed with the water,the night a reminder that the great Zaiden Knights is heartbroken.
