CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE:The Old Man Is Angry!

"I want him back home in the next few hours,Zaiden should not let me get angry over his irresponsible behaviour,bring that brat home!"Old man Williams shouted over the phone in anger,his voice wrecking havoc all over the mansion that the maids and servants flinched when they heard the old man  curse out loud about his grandson.

After having the knowledge through the guard he  sent as a spy to protect him that he was heartbroken and tried killing himself through drinks,the old man could not believe that he could actually stoop too low to think of ending his life because of some bitch that wasn't worthy of his love.

How dare he act irrational just because he was feeling emotional!

If only Hazel had accepted his request,things wouldn't have been so stressful for him.

Grandpa touched his temple as he groaned in pain,he was having a slight headache,his grandson's issue had him on edge that he barely had time to rest.

"Sir,your chamomile tea"One of the servants who was brave enough came into the sitting room to do as he had requested but the old man flared up.

"Do you think drinking tea is what's  more important now?take it out of my view  this instant"Grandpa asked the maid as if she was the reason for his problem.

The servant took the tea out not without bumping  into other ones who made mockery of her by trying to calm the raging old man down.

"Father,I heard your voice from upstairs,what's the matter?"Avery asked, walking into the room with her husband who had his eyes glued to his phone as usual.

"Did you have any idea about Zaiden going to New York to bring in some  girl he claims is his fianceè?"

"No father, we barely talk to each other since the incident,I only knew recently he wasn't in town,what's wrong?"

"Well your son is the problem Avery,how could he choose to dirty our family's name just to go get some girl who broke his heart"Grandpa said cleaning  the dust off his spectacles as he chuckled over  the fact that  his grandson  was sulking somewhere in Newyork over some lady when he had far more important issues over here in country Z to take care off.

"What? He never really said he had a fianceè"Avery told him not quite sure what the old man was saying was true,because her son barely had time to go out with a girl and talk more of having some secret fianceè without her knowledge.

"That's it,I've  had enough of this irresponsible act of his,this time i  do things my way,this weekend his engagement to Hazel would be made public in the welcome party for Nathan"The old man said finally standing up to look at Ezekiel who's full attention was on them after he heard what he just said.

"But Hazel is still persistent on not accepting our …"

"That shouldn't be of your  concern right now, because  that young lady has no choice but to marry my grandson to save his inheritance from being taken away from him"Grandpa said with finality which stunned Avery because she knew when the old man was serious and him been adamant on making Hazel his daughter in-law was not a just a bluff on his own part.

Seriously,that young lady has trouble coming  her way  and the sooner she gets to understand that she has caught the fancy of the Knights family,the world's wealthiest family the better for her,because the old man was not going to give up on his pursuit of her.

Avery felt a little bit guilty on her part for dragging an innocent young lady into the affair of her family but she had no choice to do what she did.

She needed someone to be a bait  inorder to get her son to where he rightfully belonged,and Hazel proved to be a worthy bait,not only was she the sweetest and innocent soul she had ever meant,at least she would be able to tame  the  cold heart of her arrogant son who despised falling in love as he claims it was just a waste of time and energy.

"What about the young girls feeling father,you can't just force someone to get married to your  son,you know how Zaiden is,he's going to make her life a living hell,I suggest we leave that poor orphan alone"

Ezekiel contributed to what they were discussing,baring his mind out to his father and his wife who were hell bent on getting poor Hazel married off to Zaiden irrespective of the girl's refusal to heed to their biddings.

"Ezekiel Knight!Your son has proven to be a headache to the whole family. I have decided to take laws into my hands and place him where he should have been originally,do you even listen to yourself,it's his inheritance we are talking about, not some scholarship !"Grandpa faced Ezekiel who was still not satisfied with this idea,as if he knew what was going to be the consequences .

"What about his feelings father?I know his inheritance is what we should all be looking out for ,but don't you stop to think about how he feels about getting married to someone he doesn't love"

"Ezekiel"Avery called to her husband to stop it already when she knew where this was going to lead to,she could feel the tension here between the two.

"love was not included in the game when your son choose to not find a girl for himself when he still had time,look what it had gotten us to,a family looking for a wife for a grown up man who refuses to grow up"

"But father.."

"My decision is final Ezekiel,a special announcement would be released to the press about his Engagement to Hazel at Nathan's party"The old man concluded choosing to ignore his son's persistence on not trying out what he had in mind towards the two children,he stopped when he heard what he said,his eyes bulging out that it  nearly fell out of his socket when he heard what he uttered.

"So this was how you married my mother,an arranged marriage that led you to cheating on her,because i  really appreciate your concern about my son but he's still my son and i also have the right to choose what's best for.."Ezekiel's words was cut short when his face was turned turned to the sides,the old man slapped him.

"Ezekiel!''Avery shouted walking over to stand in between the two,she was still shocked over what her husband just said.

Grandpa cheated on his wife?

"How dare you bring up my late wife in this issue,how dare you!!"Grandpa screeched at Ezekiel,his face horrified at the fact that his son has brought up the past that he had being regretting,A past that was the reason for all these that was happening in the family right now.

The old man is angry.

The old man touched his temple and almost lost his balance but Ezekiel was fast to hold him.

"Father!"

"Call the doctor!!"Avery yelled to the chief of staff.

The whole mansion was in panic as Ezekiel with the help of some guards helped the old man to his room waiting for the family doctor to arrive.

In as much as the family was in panic,a certain figure had all long been standing behind the flower vase witnessing the family clash at each other as a certain smirk creeped up his face.

Nathan was getting the satisfaction that his uncle and grandpa were at odds with each other,at least that would give the old man a change of mind to consider giving the company to him as his precious grandson was making the trust he had in him drop day by day.

After all,Zaiden was not going to be the ceo  of the company anyway as long as he was here.

No one was going to take it away from him just as they made his father a second choice,he would not live by their rules.

"Stay calm Nathan,everyone thinks you are not interested"He muttered to himself but it was the other way around,after seeing how his mother  freaked out when he told her he was leaving to make a name for himself away from the family,she nearly killed herself.

He had a change of mind,as long as he gets to keep his mom happy,he would get to do anything she wants.

Nothing was worth losing his mother!

But the bitter truth was that he had been having this feeling deep inside of him after his encounter with Hazel that she would end up being a barrier to him in getting what was his.

No matter how much he tried telling his mind that she was not a major problem,he would still end up with   the fact that in as much as she says that she was not going to accept his brother,one day she would end up fighting alongside his brother to keep his inheritance.

He could still remember how her face hardened when he brought up the topic about his brother,was she not interested in him as she says or was she playing hard to get?
