CHAPTER 4 Job opportunity

I fell asleep from all the crying. When I woke up, lea had made lunch for the both of us. I told her I wasn't hungry but she insisted that I ate . I just wished time would fly cause as every second passed , it felt like I was being tortured .I got my laptop so that I could watch a movie when I saw an email notification. I read the message and slowly my face lit up. I screamed Anne's name in excitement. Anne came in to see me dancing to an imaginary tune.

Anne: what the heck is going on..... a moment ago , you were sulking and now , tell me what happened all of a sudden.

i turned to see my confuses bestie who seemed to have been talking to me.

Debbie: guess what !

Anne: what?

Debbie : Globex business company just sent me a job interview request ....

Anne: when did they request to see you?

Debbie:Wednesday by 4pm

Anne: that's just a day away , are you ready cause your gonna answer a hell lot of questions.

Debbie: I was born ready .

Anne: we should go out , its so boring to be stuck in the house.

Debbie: alright, let me get ready .

They both went to dress up. Anne wore a one handed green gown which was of knee length while Debbie wore a sky blue crop top and a pair of combat trousers. They both went clubbing. Anne had gone to get a drink while Debbie sat down close to the bar waiting for Anne to return. A young man walked up close to her and sat down right next to her. The young man asked the bartender to get him Icetea and lemon . I was starring at him , why would someone want to d9rink a combination like that . it could get someone drunk in one sip. When he turned to me I looked away immediately. After a while , I stood up and walked towards Ann's who left the drink and was flirting with a blonde guy . I walked over there.

Me: Excuse me, could you give us a moment , I need to talk to her ALONE!

blonde boy: sure .

Debbie: What the heck is wrong with you?

Anne: why did you do that , that guy was way into me and he definitely is my type.

Debbie: is that really what you have to say for yourself ?

Anne: gyal, this is a club, you have to loosen up , be cool and go have fun . Forget about this annoying part of you and go make friends.

Debbie: Annoying, you think am annoying, I'll show you annoying .

I stormed out in anger and as if the universe hadn't done enough, she didn't even come after me .I was walking so fast about to leave the club when I bumped into someone with so much force that I fell backwards.

Debbie: Am so sorry

I heard his voice , it was so angelic and attracting that I had to look up to see his face.He was a tall black haired young man .He has a perfectly sculpted and described face . He had thin but red lips . I was at loss of words . he looked like a male god who descended into earth. I only realised how long I've been starring when I heard him ask if I was okay again . I smiled at him and told him that I was okay . He helped me up while saying "maam, you should really be more careful next time. Immediately after he said that, he left. Then it struck me , I didn't thank him and neither did I know his name . I left the club and took a taxi back to I and Anne's apartment.
