300 Days

An introverted high school boy is just your regular loner-that is, if you ignore the fact that he can see when people die in the form of numbers above their heads. Unsure of where this "gift" came from, the boy made it his personal rule to not meddle around with fate. However, his classmate, Lily Evergreen, walked into class with a new number etched above her head: 300 days. He resolves to stay away and stick to his rule. Do. Not. Meddle. After all, isn't 300 just another number?

Prologue

Sometimes, things might not work well in your favor. Playing this classic MMORPG on a Thursday might not necessarily be the best idea.

I checked the time on my alarm clock and it read out in big red bolded numbers: 2:30. Thinking to myself, I really should head to sleep. I quickly saved my progress in a safe zone in the game and proceeded to turn off my computer, closing all the opened tabs in the process.

I tapped on my alarm clock to set an alarm to wake up for school tomorrow. If I had the opportunity to drop out and play games for the rest of my life, I would take that chance in a heartbeat.

However, my mom would instantly kill me if I were to ever do that and nag me for the rest of my life. Maybe going to school is a good idea. I mean after all, it beats getting nagged at by your mom. I yawned and tucked myself in bed.

"Boring day in school here we go"

I said to myself before quietly getting settled in on my bed and peacefully falling asleep.
