19th July

I had a dream.

The air was still.

I held my breath.

I looked around, an unreasonable fear wrecking my mind. My heart thumped in my chest, threatening to break through my ribcage should it beat any harder. I was leaning against a wall, taking slow, shaky breaths. My eyes were wide, and I pressed my body against the wall behind me as if trying to be part of it. Something was out there, but what?

I heard a noise. The rustling of dried leaves, the sign that there were footsteps. I held my breath and dared not move a muscle. I stared in front of me, not wanting, or daring to turn and look. I was in a building, an old building that was already breaking down. The walls were crumbling, and there was no telling what was going to happen.
