5 I'm an Idiot

I frown my eyebrows at her, "Uhm, sorry?"

She turns around and slowly walks away as she says, "Take care of yourself kid."

I sit there confused and speechless. I start feeling my stomach twist and turn. I think back to what she said, "Your smile, it's beautiful yet lost."

I stare out into the direction she walked off, hoping to see her and ask her what she meant, but she wasn't there anymore, "Does she mean-"

My thoughts get cut off by the sound of my alarm. I check my phone and it shows 4 o'clock I quickly get up and run to the bus station, "Just forget it, you'll be alright."

I say to myself as I try to take deep breaths and calm down. I get on the bus to get to the café.

I arrive at the café at 18:05. I see Celia standing at the entrance, I walk over to her and greet her with a warm smile and say, "Hey! Sorry for making you wait."

She gently smiles back and says, "Hey, you're good. I just arrived, don't worry. Shall we go in?"

I look at her, she's wearing a blue jean and a white shirt, I admire her blue eyes and her puffy pink lips, I snap out of my daze, "huh, oh yeah! Let's go." I stutter my words wondering if she saw me staring.

As we walk, she smiles at me and pulls me by my hand over to a table next to the window, the table I always sit at. "Let's sit here!" She says with a warm smile.

I look at her, and smile, "Sure!" We sit down and take our orders.

"How are you?" She asks as she takes a bite of her toast.

"I'm doing okay. A bit exhausted, but ay! It's the norm. What about yourself?" I look at her gently moving her hair out of her face. "She looks so beautiful.." I think to myself.

"Ah! I'm good! I just stayed at home the whole day, I wanted to get some fresh air, and you seem cool! So, I wanted to go out with you! Alright. So, what did you do today?"

I take a sip of the coffee I ordered, "I went to the outskirts of the city to give some of the cats food. I also, cleaned my apartment. That was a hell of a job."

She looks at me with sparkly eyes, "CATS! I didn't know there were cats on the outskirts. Well, cleaning is a hell of a job. I don't do it much. I'm more of a music person!"

Hours passed as we talked about meaningless things.

"I wonder if I can go out with her again. I should ask-" Suddenly my thinking was disturbed by a phone, someone was calling her, "Hello? uhm. Yeah, I'm done.."

she hangs up and looks at me worried, "Hey. I'm sorry, but I have to go." She says as she quickly grabs her bag and gets up.

"Hey! It's alright, I'll walk you out." I say stuttering my words. I walk her out of the café and see a white Chevy pull up.

She gently smiles at me and waves goodbye, "My boyfriend came to pick me up. I'll talk to you later!"
