Maybe he need tank? Steel(rock/ground) type pokemon or anything like it.
Please update your Pokemon moves and abilities.
He’s going to need a fire type just for the type coverage so I would try to find a Houndoom, it’s Fire/Dark type and has a really strong Mega Evolution
