Why do people want the protagonist to be weak like one is obviously the weaker I picked two

chose 2 because it is better in the long run because you don't know of the full potential of the first one while the second one you know that you have nigh unlimited potential and you can by forbidden spells or what ever at a discount but evey thing else is the same just riten differently

I prefer to choose 2

I prefer choice 1 you can create a rivalry with Baphomet and since nothing is know for choice 1 it can be from a god who was an ex or something with many choices for powers 2 is a known risk and 1 is an unknown both have potential but I don't like the perks of choice 2

1 the power is obviously better on the surface but that doesn't mean it doesn't come with hidden problems, such a maniacal god trying to take your power every time you use it, if you use it you run the risk of being taken over ultimately leading you or the mc to trying to avoid using it, in simpler terms its a wolf in sheeps clothing, the risks outweigh the pros
