I'm curious, why not take the wish of knowledge further? Why not include anything from all fiction and nonfiction? He could combine divine magic and the technology of the Xeelee and become a million times the better of Doom. And if you just wanted magic/martial arts then why not include all media and non-media (reality)? Purposefully limiting wishes seems foolish. It would make more sense if the MC was simply granted these boons and couldn't change them, then I wouldn't have a complaint.
