I don't remember what game it was, but when I played The Witcher I was invincible in fights and stuff, destroying anyone, but an animation of arrows shooting definitive death from the city guards appeared. For that reason I left the wizard saga. The truth is that I'm a psychopath when it comes to playing, that's why I don't play games like Genshin Impact for example, good graphics and story, but being infantilized and not being able to, for example, break the mother of an NPC just because, it's annoying. I don't remember what mmorpg it was, but you could kill any NPC regardless of their affiliation and that was useful, of course in Dark Souls you can kill NPCs, but that's idiotic.
