Thanks for the chapter!! I don't understand why people are so turned off by simp kenshin. I like it, he's always been a goofy and do whatever he wants type of guy. It's not that out of character and matches with his personality and also factor in Yae's energy boost + Teenage Hormones. It's not like he's Brock proposing to every random woman he comes across. Also the letters would be a good way to gather info on the fatui especially because he knows that somebody in the Fatui faction knows about his soul book. Also befriending the fatui member controlling half of the food supply of the country he wants to save seems like a pretty good idea. For the people complaining listen to Arlecchino and shut up.

Don't want to be that guy but being proactive and his actions a different things. He is acting weird not only by logic, but his logic too. He is too out of character, so I can understand criticism. And tbh, his actions really cringe.

Thank you for the second chapter I'm so happy. Now, I don't know about this. The rest had built up this one felt forced and completely out of character for him. I don't mean to flame but critique it was rushed like I feel that he would not do something like this especially after the last time he had rushed something so fast and came to regret it. It feels like he character regressed to pre-Mondstat Kenshin in the past 2 chapters and the coincidently forced headache, overtax talisman, 'hyper drunk' thing at the same time Ei forcing him back into his position and the meeting altogether makes it too many coincidences for it not to come out as forced. It feels lackluster no chemistry no feelings just flat. I don't hate it but just feel disappointed and empty are the best words I can think of at this moment. I'm sorry if this came off as rude but I feel it is sometimes best to tell an author straightforward and hopefully not repeat the same thing again.

considering how the MC was always super curious about souls, it is normal Kenshin would simp for a beautiful soul, to him it must be bewitching almost in a eldritch sense as he wants to see more of the soul and understand more of it.

Bro, like just ignore the haters completely. Because honestly, those author notes were kind of annoying. You have people who like the story(me included) pay attention to haters and just write what you wanna write because people who wanna be here stay and the people who wanna leave, that’s their loss
