Think I finally know what set me off with this MC a couple chapters back. He won the cosmic lottery of all highschool dxd fans and reincarnated into this world.he kind of acts arrogant like heās just above all three factions. So focused on not being a slave even though itās never really been a threat. I understand he was holding out to better his own position but I canāt help but believe all these dxd characters were better off with issei. Donāt get me wrong I hate issei but at least he was genuine andcconmiftted to something outside himself. This MC Spent so long trying to not need anyone for his fear oF being collard. That now tht we are at a point heās actually interacting with people it just doesnāt feel genuine from the MCs pepperspective. His only only loloyalty or feelings are for hiĆmelf. Like reading from the perspective of a high functioning sociopath. Wish the absolute focus on slavery wasnāt so existent in this and the mc was a bit more willing to genuinely commit rather then kind of temporary become a Devil and kind of join a side but really only ever on his own side. Makes him harder to like. Spent this whole book so far wanting him to interact with Akeno but now that he is I kind of want her to run cause the mc is kind of fake tbh
