Mc presumably has the talent but not the understanding which can be taught/improved by a teacher. Not all rct is equal, Hakari is stated to have faster regeneration than Gojo but neither can heal others like Shoko can. The lawyer guy got lucky and did it his first try but Gojo had to wait until he was a teen to get it since he never put in the effort before.
