Loving the story so far but please don’t force some kind of tragedy for “character development” , Meredith already has expierence dealing with guards and knows about what happened to Caelum’s uncles so I feel she should not be as naive as she is portrayed or should be able to snap out of it quickly she also has Caelum and Luke who are already good and want to help as much people as they can, they have no need and reason to become players of the game which means they can keep being honourable and good without being taken advantage of
