Also advice maybe you haven't considered: he's going to have to eat so many calories a day for his exercise level. Additionally recovery times and soreness will definitely be felt. might be interesting to see how that folds out

I personally am greatly enjoying the pacing as is because the character introduction and exploring the new world of the campus is what the story is about right now. it is the base for the rest of the story so no need to rush. if your worried about it, at the top of your next post have people comment on a line of top slow and on another if it's good or too fast.
Bosaliong:I've thought about calories before (Drai ate a lot of meat back at home) but haven't considered it for further down the story. Thanks for the reminder! Although I don't think it will be noteworthy enough as a plot point, I might include it in passing or in the details. I'm a bit concerned about the pacing of the plot (I'm afraid it's too slow for some readers), so I might glance at the details regarding locations or even during conversations (I'll still try to make them sound rather realistic). What do you think? Is the pacing too slow for you?
