Thanks for the chapter~ For powers, I think that this might be good: A power to attack from a distance, such as pushing, punching, kicking, etc. similar to telekinesis, but only for your body. As the power grows, you'd have more freedom with it - such as being able to reduce the surface area of an attack to do more damage, like a hand chop acting like a sword strike to cut heads off from a distance, and maybe allow weapons like a sword to also work with it. The distance limit will only be 1-3 meters at first, but it will grow with time and training. Another could be the power to transmute other materials into basic food resources, such as certain meats or fruit and vegetables, which over time would develop to be able to make better ingredients, basic meals, and even other medicinal herbs. Or a Time-acceleration power that allows you to multiply time on you, for example, making yourself 1.25X faster in relevance to others, developing to greater multipliers with time and training - it should be able to be forced to work better such as making a 1.5X boost to 2X, but doing so would drain stamina quickly and might cause harm similar to overworking a muscle. Another could even be a healing factor, allowing you to regenerate minor cuts within under a minute, and even severed fingers or an arm within a few days to a couple weeks, it would even allow you to somewhat resist the zombie virus after a while of rest as long as you aren't bitten too many times, and it would also give you a small boost in strength - obviously these feats can be scaled based on the development of the power and could be passive, or maybe even accelerate the regeneration and boost your strength temporarily in exchange for some stamina loss - maybe call such a power Superhuman?
You could go the Resident Evil and or Prototype route and have a few bio weapons running around at various strength levels and have the Mc and the girls evolve powers like Wesker or become potential bio weapons like Alex Mercer. You could also have the world develop Conduit powers from Infamous and give the Mc the power to copy other conduit powers like Delsin Rowe from Infamous Second Son. It would give the Mc gradual strength progression having to find, copy and train powers from other survivors or zombies with powers as the story progresses. Either way it would give the world a pretty good strength cap towards the end of the story without having too many people running around with city or continental busting strength. If you plan on just staying in the HOTD world and not hopping around the multiverse and if you did it would still have a good base for whatever world could be next. Anyway whichever route you choose to go down I’m very excited to keep reading, this is currently one of my favourite stories to read at the moment and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. Is it even clunky? Must be the long sentences then. Sometime I wonder, did the people on the Web ever read a physical book? The one that you would literally hold and turn pages to read. The sentences in there are in paragraph form at most of the time, mostly the convos are the one line sentences. 🤔🤔 Well anyway, thank you for this chapter! 🤛🏼😃👍🏼
