i don't understand this book. i thought Silvester met Agnes and they chatted for some time , even Ricardo wood worked with Sylvester and both had a conversation as 2 separate people in the early chapters

I always wondered what Sylvester’s trigger was…I have two theories, the first, Sylvester was the orphan boy (Delilah adopted him) who was beat up. Sylvester really did see the scarecrow avenge him, which shocked him out of his skull, so the beating and the scarecrow thing caused his mind to split. Or, his mom didn’t want him to leave and marry his girlfriend, so she killed the girlfriend and he saw her do it, which triggered his split, which is why one of his alters finally got tired of her keeping Sylvester from dating and was salty about the girl friend so they killed her. I’m leaning toward the first…
