Don't let 'that arrow' hit no matter what, if the story is going to fully rehash the manga it's best to just read the manga, 'he' can retire and let Tou take over after Kyou is avenged.
Good work author, I'm fine with any development ur going, ouki must die or lose a hand which is more cruel (unable to fight no more) as I can't possibly imagine ouki retire willingly it isn't his character.
