just putting it out there- The grandparents of Harry potter are never confirmed, and always in question. But for sure, Henry Potter, who was Harry's name sake had two sons, Charlus and Fleamont and either could be James's dad, if in this fic he is Fleamont, good, I was just telling you if you did not know this but but James has an uncle. Charlus Potter married Dorea Black, which makes Harry heri black in some fics. Also the Weasley grandad, septimus Weasley married another Black, much to everyone's displeasure which was the reason of Weasley-Malfoy blood feud, as Abraxas (Lucius's father) was very interested in the Black Septimus Weasley married, and she humiliated Malfoy by marrying a Weasley.

excited to see how Artucus will be portrayed here, and how Sirius will (or will not) befriend James as obviously james ain't going to Gryffindor. Slytherin is the obvious choice despite him not aiming to the top. JEven Hufflepuff is a good choice, despite rare hufflepuff is the perfect choice for a family oriented MC, and we would see something new for once instead the cliche Slytherin/ Gyffindor trope. Ravenclaw doesn't fit MC in my opinion as MC is not stalker for knowledge, he is using knowledge as a means to an end, and I imagine him even to lose his magic if asked to save his family. Plese get him to Hufflepugg for once
