What can I say about this chapter... it's really something else. Calling it unexpected would be an understatement..
I really adored this chapter! The stakes were high, the emotional resonance between your words, characters, and the reader was spot on! Amazing job!
I want to write something about this introduction, but nothing comes to mind other than shock. Hopefully good things to come for the characters!
Very nice first chapter, sets the one for what the reader will be expecting as the story later progresses.
