Comments of chapter undefined of The Author’s Paradox

Just wanted to ask but will his personality change now that he has understood his soul? He sees everything as one big cosmic joke and sort of just plays everything off but will he get more... serious. It's good to joke and he has his moments but I Like to think of it as he has a sort of confidence issue and he looks down on himself. Sorry for the long message. P.S Deans character is fine as it is and I'm enjoying the novel so it's not an issue just a genuine question
