Damn the mother is stupid, the god of Darkness had his followers perform human sacrifices, and tried to kill her family with a horde of undead, and the goddess of light allowed it to happen, as well as throwing an angel at her family and putting a bounty on her daughter’s head. Not to mention not clearing the tower would doom earth. Yes not all gods need to die, but those that participated in invading earth, or stand in the way of earth’s only realistic hope do.
I realise that the mother lacks some information, but she also knows some, for example she know about the sacrifices, maybe not the purpose but she knows that it’s for the god of darkness, she also knows about the cult of light hunting them and one of the angel attacks, so she should know that they are beyond dialogue with the goddess of light. She must be able to also put two and two together with the attacks from high level players.
