Put a Hex on Alaric's Wand, if someone attempts to snap it, the perpetrator would have their bones broken instead, and if the Wand isn't within Alaric's possession for more than 30 minutes or less, its current possessor would be subjected to pain that will fester if the wand isn't returned to it's owner.

Maybe make it both painful and humiliating for the fudge and toad. I have read too many H.P. fanfics to have a good opinion of them, or even a neutral opinion of them.
