I don't think the 5s have considered it - the considered him being a descendant of someone who ran away from mount hua or even someone from the demonic sect, but not once was it mentioned that they suspect him being in any relation to the pbss. I'd rather imagine hyung Jong making this assumption but he doesn't care about cm's past. So maybe the Um generation would be the quickest to reach the conclusion

I was thinking that too. I was expecting the body he reincarnated to in the first place to be his grandson's or some relative. But apparently it's mentioned somewhere past CM hasn't mated, and thus did not have children...
