That is a good reason. You propably should have said that in the chapter.

Holomez:I guess I shouldve made it clearer, but killing him would taken more than half of his remaining spiritual energy, which he wasn't willing to give up. Having super low energy wouldve been risky as silas and juexin were still there. Killing emeber just wasnt worth that risk,
