so why is he going in a dungeon with them. he could have gone with a modest group. and how can he even ensure he wouldn't be cheated out of his pay
Honestly reach people don't cheat people out of their. They will exploit you until your last bone but they will pay you. Plus, the pay they give you is usually peanut becuse they think about those. When making a contract they have to come out on top. So there's usually no need keeping your pay, if they really are wealthy (Do not mistake with influencial).
I hate this when author deliberately make everyone bad and with no respect for others. I mean literally, who is this ruthless to a powerless guy. everyone has mind and a human mind at that. how can they even feel good by bullying weak ones? I really hate this and I definitely don't think anyone can act like that unless they are really crazy!
