Well, you can date several people during your lifetime but you don't date them at the same time. You date someone, break up, then another one. Now take this with a grain of salt. If he has the scar then wouldnt voldemort be in the same situation as he was back then? Or is that what they mean when they say he ran away? I mean it's not like a baby can actually defeat voldemort, something unexpected and unnatural must be involved which is probably the mother or father saving him
