I’m sorry, but I’m having a REALLY HARD TIME BELIEVING that Alexander would believe in rituals for reincarnation, pinpoint it to the woman who fell in the lake, as well as at the time she fell in the lake…and then not seriously consider that the soul might have fallen into the “container” of his sister since she then suddenly has a drastic personality change, such as when she removes her makeup which she has NEVER taken off or allowed anyone to see her without -> she she removes it in her hospital bed! Suzanne becomes Purple and Alexander only has a brief, flicker of uneasiness?!! SERIOUSLY? You expect us to believe in metaphysics, reincarnation, soul containers, and knows EVERY DETAIL ABOUT Suzanne, but doesn’t seriously consider this possibility? He continues to protect the soul container and doesn’t even have any idea of consulting the “mage” to see if he can check if the ceremony was a success , the state of the “girlfriend/soul container,” check nearby persons, or anything else…he just says he will “later” go have the mage re-do the ceremony. One would usually think that a ceremony like that would be either extraordinarily difficult, black magic, or would require a sacrifice to check and balance karma for the underworld. Alexander is too blasé and slow for the emotional investment you want us to believe he has in SS. I like your writing and the ideas so far, but I am nervous it will end up too trope if not careful. 🙂
