Steve does not know she loves him and Ruby doesn’t know he loves her. There is no real communication between them. He wants her to be part of his life but is not trying to be kind. She is trying to please her family by saving them in the only way she knows. Communication would fix all of this but then there would be no story. 🤭😉

Too short of a chapter and too submissive .

Steven must have discovered that she just want to used him for her family benefits. she doesn't have any feels for him at all despite the love Steven have for her. all she want it to get something from him. that's bad.

Even if it’s all for her family I wish she could be less submissive.

the chapters are too short. The story is great , Steve is trying to test Ruby's dignity and discipline but she keeps disappointing him. both leads are imperfect and shows the reality of things in life
