One young woman is responsible for the future 9f her family? Why is the previous generation so incompetent? Perhaps sending her to college to develop her intellectual potential would have been a better investment then calligraphy, piano and singing? I have never been asked about those skills in an interview.

I hate how this story is written. I want her to be a strong FL who paves her own way and her own path. She's just going to listen to him??

This story upsets me so much and the annoying thing is that she will still end up with this brute. The most annoying thing is that I can't curse at the writer because this fiction is someone's reality. someone that I even know. why are men like this? turning their daughters to commodity why?

I feel sad for Ruby. All her life, she lives to please her family & other people. 💔 Maybe I'll give the benefit of the doubt to Steve, I guess . I'm thinking the reason why he's being cold to Ruby is due to the fact that he wants her to be true to herself. Like he's mad at her because she's just obeying her family's want for her . Maybe he wants Ruby to love him as he is, not because that's what her family would like her to do . He wants Ruby's raw and true feelings for him. (Ahhh... That's too deep, anyway. 😁)
