Deutsche Unforgotten
I don't like to read a story that have a concept of a Chinese life ,but change names and places to an English names. it's confusing and quiet deceiving because sometimes they weren't able to change some things and still have the connection with the Chinese life which is for me is awkward even as reading it .
In thes stories it is always fair or white, white, white. White porcelin skin. White skin as white as snow. A fair swan-like neck. Faie and beautiful. It is so tiring to hear these type of words and descriptors over and and over again about how beautiful fair and white skin is. I read it so much in these types of novels that I now always expect to see it in when I am reading these stories. But it is so tiring to read. Wonder when the time will come when they will change it up or not mention it at all. Not one story I have come across where they don't mention how fair and beautiful they are because of their whiteness. đ
