Harry potter itself has a romance part so it's okay to have one in your story too, and I think it's okay to have a harem of maximum to 3 like Ms. Daphne, Luna and a new character you may insert. As for the craft the MC can specialize, maybe Sci-Tech Engineering with a touch of Magic (where he may make magic robots) as he is familiar with future ideas from his original world.

I think he should have one love interest.Hermione or Fleur would be good options. The special crafting focus should be ritual magic or alchemy. He'd probably do good as a spell crafter.
