seriously, the fact that a 28 year old guy keeps blushing and having inappropriate thoughts about a 16 year old, and even from the most innocent of actions such as a simple smile, is not doing your protagonist any favours. You might say he's gone back and is now only 18 himself but that doesn't change how old his mind is and the fact that he's so attracted to a 16yr old, and with such little self control at that, is kinda disturbing and disgusting. You should consider toning it down. These things are things you should consider when creating your story setting, you need to give consideration to how your mc is coming across.
