This is a personal opinion, but I find it quite disappointing. For me, Elara's design is excellent, an extremely arrogant and kind prodigy magician. At first I thought that teaching Elara to fight was just a way for the MC to help Elara gain confidence and lose her fear of hurting others. However, it seems that the author wants to transform Elara into the female version of Vaan, which is a shame, because if that happens the character will lose all her charisma and what makes her so unique. I hope I'm wrong and this doesn't happen. Other than that, it was a good chapter.
