So he wants to reach the root then if I'm correct. My understanding of fate is that true magic is the prize you get for discovering a path to the root but not actually making it all the way ad since the root is everything if you truly went there you'd just become assimilated amd lose sense of self. So is he trying to reach it without losing it or obtain true magic/better understanding of the universe. Also not really sire about fate lore but if he's in the same Era as Heracles then medusa should be dead not sure about fate lore but in mythology Heracles is Perseus decendant like his great great grandson or something
